Levi Olson is the right horse trainer for you and your horse. Levi began his career specializing in colt starting because he understood the importance of establishing a solid foundation on young horses during their initial training sessions. He understood that the goal of colt starting was the establishment of solid skills by a willing equine partner. Quick fixes, shortcuts and severe techniques do not translate into a better lifelong training foundation.
Many of the horses that Levi started have gone on to be top finishers in reining, roping, cutting, hunter under saddle, dressage, 3 day eventing and hunter/jumper; for example: Geronniemoe, Sir Smart Wiz and Shewiz Hollywood. In addition to training, Levi has had success as a competitor at the highest level:
- Top ten finisher at the Quarter Horse Congress-2002
- Top ten finisher NRBC-2003
- AQHA World Show Qualifier-2003
After moving from Wisconsin to the North Texas area in 1997, Levi established his reputation while working for Matlock Rose and Roger Daly and working from the facilities of Tom Chown to name a few. His horse training led him to begin offering private riding and reining lessons on your horse at his current facility, Legacy Ranch in Pilot Point, Texas. The facilities include a covered round pen, covered arena, outdoor arena and two twenty-stall barns.
